Sales Engineer for Sensors
Report to: - Business Development Manager
Communicate with: - Stoneridge Global Locations (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific)
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or manufacturing Engineering.MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- Good English
- Minimum 3 year's relevant experience in the automotive industry, automotive supplier environment is preferred
- Working experience in a multi-national company is preferred
- Strong presentation and computer skills, with experience using spreadsheet, database and presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint)
- Motivated self-starter
- Professional image
- Hands-on experience in a start-up environment preferred
- Commercial / business minded, enjoys technical selling
- Proactive / win-win mentality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Knowledge/ understanding of quality tools, QS9000, DOE, APQP, SPC
- Familiarity with supplier development and supplier quality management
Responsibility:
- Knowledgeable of all or some of; sensors (speed, temperature, pressure, torque, hall effect, exhaust gas temperature), solenoids (emission-based), electronic instrumentation, actuators, wiring systems and architecture, electro-mechanical products, switches
- Opening up new markets and develop new customers.
- Provide tactical liaison support to global sales teams and operating divisions
- Filter sales inquiries and interpreting customers requirements to anticipate and exceed their needs, write application notes on technical issues and provide to customers
- Ensure timely responses to customers as a follow-up to any project regarding technical issues and monitor progress; is responsible for overall customer satisfaction, resolving customer issues
- Provides application engineering expertise at the customer to assist the customer in applying SRI products; resolving issues and determining product requirements
- Communicate technical and commercial customer requirements to appropriate divisions and teams
- Support sales calls and product and capability presentations, demonstrating how a specific product will meet the customers application requirements
- Must be able to travel within China. Travel required to Stoneridge global locations as business requires
